Forget the stereotypical leadership image of a buttoned-up person in a grey suit holding a hefty briefcase.
Today stand-up leaders come in all shapes and sizes. What really matters are leaders who can create enthusiasm, empower their people, instil confidence, and inspire those around them.
As different as leaders are today, there are some things great leaders across the board do everyday.
1. Face challenges
Great leaders are brave enough to face up to challenging situations and deal with them honestly.

Effective leaders meet their challenges openly and communicate with their staff to build trust and confidence in their employees.

2 – Win trust

Employees are more loyal and enthusiastic when they work in an environment run by people they trust. BUILD THAT TRUST !
Show employees that you care about them by taking an interest in their lives beyond the office. Do this by letting your employees know you’re interested in their success and happiness.
Also, when employees make mistakes don’t confront them in anger. Instead calmly explain where the mistake was made and what you expect in the future. When people know you aren’t going to berate them and you have their best interests at heart, they’re going to trust you.

3. Be authentic

If you’re not a suit don’t try to be a suit. Everyone can always tell when you’re pretending to be someone you’re not. Amplify your own strings and personality traits to develop your personal leadership style.

4. Earn Respect

When you conduct yourself in an ethical way, you earn the respect of those around you. This respect contributes to employees and other stakeholders building pride in the company, which is an essential part of loyalty and engagement.

5. Stay curious

The best leaders understand that innovation and new perspective can emerge from many, possibly strange places.
Stay on the lookout for knowledge, for valuable people, and continually work to integrate these advantages into your business.
