Dog parade for man's 100th birthday

This man just wanted to pet some dogs for his 100th birthday, so his family organized a neighborhood dog parade. This story is the number five top fun story of the year, and for good reason.

Robert Moore, who's been a dog lover for a century now, turned 100 on June 17th of this year. He didn't ask for much; he just thought it might be nice to hang out with some dogs. So his daughter, Allison, took to the Nextdoor app, encouraging neighbors to walk by their house that day so that he could see their dogs. She was hoping around 20 dogs might come by, but she was more than pleasantly surprised by the actual turnout.

Over 200 neighborhood dogs showed up, lining the block, waiting their turn just to let Robert pet them. Most of them were previously complete strangers to the Moore family, and many of them came dressed for the occasion. Some were wearing tiny cowboy hats, others wearing their finest fancy tuxedos, and some even pulled up in classic cars.

And they didn't come empty-handed either. Partygoers showered Robert with cards, flowers, and cupcakes. Allison says it's hard to explain how special it really was, and that her dad truly felt the birthday love.
