Camille: Hi.
Calvin: Hello.
Camille: Welcome to Learn English with Camille — and a lot of times, Calvin. Today we're going to do another slow English conversation for you.
Before we get started, these are for beginners. So if you're looking to learn English, you can find my books of short stories and dialogues on my website or on Amazon — with free audio.
Today, we're going to be talking about travel.
Calvin: We love travel.
Camille: Yes, and we will try to speak very slow. You can watch part by part — first with subtitles, then with no subtitles.
When you're first learning a language, you need so much repetition.
So, let's get started.
Calvin: Let's go. I'm ready.
Calvin: I really want to take a trip. We haven't traveled in a long time.
Camille: I know. A vacation sounds perfect, but where should we go?
Calvin: Good question. Do you want a beach holiday or a city trip?
Camille: I love the beach, but I also want to explore a new city.
Calvin: What about Barcelona? It has both.
Camille: Oh, that’s a great idea. We could go to the beach and see cool places, too. And I hear the food is epic.
Calvin: Now I’m hungry just thinking about it.
Camille: Me, too. Oh! And we can watch a flamenco show. That would be fun.
Calvin: Yes. And maybe we can rent bikes and ride along the beach.
Camille: That sounds perfect. I love riding bikes.
Calvin: Okay, so how much do we want to spend?
Camille: We should check flights first. If we book early, we can get a good deal.
Calvin: True. And what about hotels? Should we stay in a hotel or an Airbnb?
Camille: Maybe an Airbnb. It might be cheaper, and we’ll have a kitchen.
Calvin: Good idea. We can save money by cooking some meals at home.
Camille: Exactly. But we still have to eat out sometimes — because tapas!
Calvin: Of course. There's no way we’re missing out on that.
Camille: So, when should we go?
Calvin: Maybe in the spring. The weather will be nice, but it won’t be too crowded.
Camille: That’s perfect. Plus, I read that April has a big festival in Barcelona.
Calvin: Oh really? That sounds fun. We should check the dates.
Camille: Yes. And we should start looking at flights today.
Calvin: Agreed. Let’s book this trip before we change our minds.
Camille: I’m so excited. This is going to be an amazing trip.
Calvin: Me, too. I can’t wait to explore the city, eat delicious food, and relax on the beach.
Camille: Same! Let’s make a list of everything we want to do.
Calvin: Yes. And let’s start learning some Spanish.
Camille: Good idea. First phrase: Dos tapas, por favor.
Calvin: Or what about, ¿Dónde está la playa?
Camille: Yes,
Calvin: those are important ones.
Camille: Exactly.
Calvin: All right — let’s plan this trip!
Camille: Let’s do it.
Camille: Thank you so much for watching our video about travel.
Calvin: Where is your next vacation going to be? Let us know in the comments — maybe we’ll see you there!
Camille: And don’t forget to subscribe to our channel and check out Camille’s books. Thank you so much for watching.
Both: Thanks! We’ll see you later. Bye!
