They play with his yarn. They do all kinds of things that really annoy cat. But there's also some good things about the kids, too. So let's read it together and find out. Can the children win over the cat? The trouble with children according to cat. More bubbles. Don't be grumpy. I live among some humans in a cozy little place. The sun shines through the windows and I love it on my face. >> [bell] >> This house is pretty good. Okay, it's kind of great, I guess. Though something has me troubled that I think I should confess. Families are overrated. Wait, let me explain. The grown-ups are okay, but gosh, the children are insane. Give me that. It's mine. No, it's mine. Let go. It's mine. No, let go. I'm not a fan of gossip. I have class and I have tact, but I cannot continue to ignore how these kids act. They run around the house while screaming. Yes, I take offense. You don't disrupt a cat nap. That should just be common sense. They treat me like a toy and try to carry me around. These kids don't care that I'm the boss. Come on, guys. Put me down. I'm royalty. I make the laws. You children must obey. They don't respect authority. That's why I hide all day. Here comes a yummy bite for you. Now have some milk. One time they took my ball of yarn and claimed it as their own. It's so unfair. If I did that, they'd surely whine and moan. They use my yarn for pointless crafts what seems like every day. Those kids do not know how to use my yarn the proper way. >> [bell] [music] >> I can't forget that time those children got me soaking wet. I didn't need a bath, so I was terribly upset. And when I tried to leave, they thought they'd bribe me with a treat. Hey kids, I'm not a canine. I'm not fooled with things to eat. I even give them little gifts and place them at their feet. They never seem impressed when I present A MOUSE DEFEAT. >> [screaming] >> IT'S A MOUSE. LET'S DO SOMETHING. >> [gasps] >> How could they not appreciate me standing guard all night and handling those pesky mice? Some thanks would be polite. Now I hear them calling me. Kitty, where are you? Kitty, come here, kitty. They really are too much. I frankly cannot take another sticky finger touch. Uh-oh. Um. We love you, kitty. You're the best kitty in the whole wide world. Okay, so I may have been too hasty or misunderstood, perhaps. In fairness, there should be a rule protecting midday naps. Okay, I guess these kids are not as bad as I declared. They've certainly been gracious with the catnip they have shared. >> [laughter] >> I love the way they laugh. It makes me feel all warm inside, but please don't tell my feline friends. I must stay dignified. What is she doing? Is she actually playing with the tiny humans? I wish I had tiny humans. Affection's not my thing, but there are times that I don't mind. Like when the children make me purr. It helps me to unwind. >> [snorts] >> All right, all right, what can I say? Their scratches on my scruff are magical and do make up for when they get too rough. The children are now sleeping snuggled tightly in their beds. I think I'll give this mouse a break and cuddle them instead. How to safely and lovingly interact with your cat. Don't stare at your kitty. Do pay attention to your kitty's body language.
